Georgia is a multifaceted secondary Drama educator with experience of over 15 years working in the entertainment industry. She holds a Master’s degree in teaching and has experience teaching Drama from Kindergarten to Year 12 as well as teaching Visual Arts and English in secondary schools. Georgia has trained as an actor at NIDA and has specifically focussed on developing character through training in the methods of Stanislavski, Laban, Viewpoints, Strasburg and Butoh. Georgia has acquired roles in film and television and is trained in vocals, classical ballet, tap and jazz.
Georgia has trained primary school teachers and has worked on implementing Drama as a cross-curricular subject in the primary classroom. As a HSC Trial marker, she has also mentored HSC Drama students completing Group Performances and has specialised in assisting students completing Individual Projects in the areas of Monologue, Filmmaking and Set, Costume and Promotional Design.
Georgia has worked with Junior and Senior Drama ensembles and has staged student productions on a small and large scale. She has worked on numerous ‘Theatre in Education’ productions and in 2017, she worked as a scriptwriter and director of the touring production ‘Let’s not Waste Away’ in the CaSPA Gifted Education and Theatreworks program. Georgia has mentored secondary students for competitive Theatresports competitions and has written and directed liturgy performances in schools.
Georgia is passionate about developing performance skill to a professional standard and strives to instil confidence and self-belief in all her students.
