Jennifer was very fortunate to attend teachers college in the 1970’s where a passion for both teaching and the performing arts were nurtured and encouraged by a team of forward-thinking educators. Over the past 38 years, Jennifer has combined these passions as both performer, Artistic Director and educator. Her performance career has included the lead in Australia’s premiere production of the musical “Evita”. Other performances include lead roles in “Godspell” and “My Fair Lady”. Jennifer has performed in leading venues across the world.
Jennifer held a long tenure as Head of Music Theatre at the Australian Institute of Music, she has worked as vocal and performance coach for TV and film productions and has directed performances at many major venues including Star City and the Sydney Entertainment Centre.
With her husband, musical director Spud Murphy, Jennifer has been instrumental in creating opportunities in the music industry for many young performers.
Jennifer is thrilled to be an Artistic Director for CaSPA.
