The Authentic Learning Project

The Authentic Learning Project

CaSPA is proud to be associated with Authentic Learning Through the Performing Arts (ALPA).

What's it about? The ALPA project is about rigorous teaching and learning in key learning areas using performing arts strategies for creative and critical thinking.

What does it do? The ALPA project serves to highlight the 8 key principles of Authentic Learning by pairing a KLA with an arts discipline. Through performing arts pedagogies, students are engaged in processes that promote deep, sensory learning and strong connections to concepts to make meaning.

Check out the videos from the menu to the right and see how different KLA's have been explored through practical applications in classrooms across the Archdiocese.
