Murrawadeen Goodjarga - Placing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures at the heart of our students' education
Schools are invited to engage with the Goodjarga Student Performance Ensemble and learn more about our shared Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander heritage.
This program has been designed to nurture the creative skills of young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and to develop whole school community understanding of and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures and language.
Selected Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students from across the Archdiocese work in a professional environment to develop and rehearse a production and cultural workshop for a performance tour across Sydney Catholic Schools in Term 4, don't miss out on this special opportunity to have the Goodjarga Student Performance Ensemble at your school.
The content of the production includes storytelling, Cultural dance and music and relates directly to the curriculum requirements of Aboriginal Perspectives.
School performances run for approximately 30mins and consist of the performance, Q & A with the cast and a Cultural dance workshop for everyone!
WHO CAN REGISTER: Primary Schools Only. The performance is suitable for all primary year levels.
