Virginia Ferris is a successful versatile artistic director, choreographer, specialised tutor and adjudicator and has managed and created over hundreds of events in Australia and Internationally.
After studying as a classical dancer she went on to perform with the Tasmanian Ballet and Company in Flight Dance Company (San Francisco, USA). Following further Jazz, Contemporary training in the USA she then went on to appear with The Peter Allen Australian National Show, David Atkins Dancin’ Man, USA productions of Hello Dolly, Royal Command Performances for Prince Charles and Princess Diana and television performer for the likes of Mike Walsh, Don Lane, and several Australian Films and commercials. She has also performed and with Frank Sinatra, Marcia Hines, Kylie Minogue, Richard Simmons, and Rosanna Arquette and choreographed Marilyn Jones, Kath and Kim, Keith Bain to name a few.
She has also been on the assessment panel for Regional Arts NSW and has completed an Auslan (Australian Sign Language) Certificate Course at TAFE to be able to communicate better with hearing impaired or deaf people.
